By in large, our Neighborhood section is suppose you give the activity buzz and feel around Downtown St. Petersburg.

This week however, we you bring you a Tampa Bay’s largest yearly event, Gasparilla.

Gasparilla is a pirate themed parade and invasion of the city held in downtown Tampa and on historic Bayshore Boulevard.  You could say Gasparilla is Tampa Bay’s Mardi Gras but with pirates.

The boat invasion on downtown Tampa starts at 1130 am and the parade on Bayshore Boulevard starts at 1 pm.
