MLK National Parade & Family Fun Day

Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day at the Annual MLK National Parade & Family Fun Day in St. Pete! This is the nation’s longest-running parade honoring MLK. Following the parade, enjoy a Family Fun Day at Tropicana Field featuring a kids zone, entertainment, an education drive, day of service programs and more!

Sunshine City Film Festival

Final day! Nominated as one of the best film festivals in the Tampa Bay Area, the Sunshine City Film Festival highlights some of the best independent filmmakers in the local Tampa Bay area and other parts of the country. From 3-10pm at the Sundial AMC 20, join us for SCFF: Red Carpet Feature Film, Music Videos & Indie Shorts Showcase. Also stick around for the SCFF Honors Awards and after party!

St. Pete – Beach Drive, Dine & Wine Tour

This tour explores the beautiful waterfront Beach Drive neighborhood via a 3-hour walking food & wine tour. Meet at The Vinoy Hotel while sipping a signature cocktail as you explore this spectacular historic resort. The tour continues to The Birchwood Inn for wine & food pairing and a visit to The Canopy roof top restaurant for spectacular views of the pier & North Yacht Basin. Gasparilla Parade of Pirates

It’s that time of year again! Make way, mateys! The Gasparilla Parade of Pirates is invading Tampa Bay with over 140 unites – including elaborate floats, marching bands and of course, the infamous YMKG pirates! Celebrate the capture of the city of Tampa with a lively crowd along the 4.5 mile parade route. The parade begins at Bay to Bay Boulevard and Bayshore Boulevard. It continues along Bayshore Boulevard to Brorein Street, turns east on Brorein Street, then north on Ashley Drive. The parade ends at Cass Street & Ashley DriveThis event is free to the public. Reserved bleacher seating is available for the Parade of the Pirates.

 

Grand Central District Beer Day – The Dark Side

Five breweries. Five Dark beers. One great cause.

The Grand Central District breweries will be brewing up a special Dark beer to celebrate the season and the St. Pete community. All dark beers will be released on Saturday and every beer sold on this day will have $1 go towards Pet Pal Animal Shelter.

Art of the Stage: Picasso to Hockney

The Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg is the first museum in the country to host this exhibition culled from the McNay Art Museum’s prestigious Tobin Collection of Theatre Arts. The traveling exhibition features a stunning variety of over 100 scene, costume, stage and program designs created by noted artists from the nineteenth century to the present day. The works of artists presented in the exhibition, such as Henri Mattise, Natalia Goncharova, Pablo Picasso, David Hockney,Robert Indiana,and Lesley Dill, innovated the productions of some of the world’s most famous opera and ballet productions. The museum will be animated with performances of classical music, opera, dance, theater and poetry throughout the run of the exhibition, along with special lectures and film screenings.
