Friday, March 6

Conspiracy at MIZE Gallery
The new CONSPIRACY exhibit features 42 artists’ work based on a specific conspiracy theory. 6-10pm. MIZE Gallery, 689 Dr. MLK Jr. Street North.

First Friday Celebration! 
Get out to the 200 Block of Central Avenue! There will be live music, vendors and more. 6-11pm. Central Avenue between 2nd & 3rd Streets North.

Tribute to Billy Joel at The Palladium 
The Stranger is a complete tribute to Joel and his entire musical catalogue, which spans an impressive 50 years. According to the Palladium website, “Out front on piano & lead vocals is founder & frontman Mike Santoro. Born and raised in Levittown like Joel himself, Mike not only looks and talks a lot like Billy, but has the piano chops, vocal prowess and stage presence of the Piano Man.” Tickets are $25 and the show starts at 8pm. Get Fit in the Park with Body Electric Yoga

People’s Practice with Mayo Cato at Body Electric Yoga

Gulfport’s Pink Flamingo Home Tour
The annual tour of Gulfport’s eclectic collection of homes returns, this time taking you through the east side of our historic downtown. You can walk, bike, or take the free #Gulfport trolley along the tour. The tour starts at Gulfport Scout Hall, but once you have your tickets you can start and stop wherever works best for you. Greater Tampa Bay Area Walk to Defeat ALS
This walk benefits those with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The event starts at 7am in Elva Rouse Park, 10th – 13th Ave & North Shore Dr. NE.

TFO Masterworks at the Mahaffey Theater
The Florida Orchestra will be performing Sibelius’s Symphony No. 7, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3. Joyce Yang will play piano and the orchestra will be conducted by Michael Francis. There are limited seats available for this event, so interested parties might want to move quickly. Cutting Edge, with Philomena Marano at the Museum of Fine Arts
Free with museum admission! Philomena Marano, studio assistant to artist Robert Indiana, joins us for a discussion about the unique medium of paper used to create costumes and sets for the famed opera “The Mother of Us All” (1976). Robert Indiana’s work on “The Mother of Us All” is featured in the special exhibition “Art of the Stage: Picasso to Hockney. The event starts at 11AM. 255 Beach Dr. NE.

Opera Through the Ages at the Museum of Fine Arts
Free with museum admission! St. Pete Opera celebrates opera through the ages in this 50-minute program featuring three voice types (soprano, mezzo and tenor). Performing pieces featured in “Art of the Stage: Picasso to Hockney,” the exhibition spans nearly 200 years of opera, touching upon themes and styles beloved by audiences around the world. 8th Annual Health & Wellness Festival
Awakening Into the Sun is happy to present this combination of health and wellness festival. The event runs from 9am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sunday. Yoga, music and the arts for all. The Body Electric Yoga and Athletic Companies will be at the festival offering classes and information. NORTH Straub Park in downtown St. Petersburg, located at 400 Bayshore Drive Northeast.

South St. Pete Chili Cook-Off
Ready for a bowl of chili? This event at Big Catch at Salt Creek combines community and your favorite spicy food. Register as a contestant or attend as a taste tester to enjoy some of South St. Pete’s best chili! This is a “People’s Choice” contest. Admission is free. Chili entry is free. St. Printersburg! 
Get out for the second annual St. Printersburg, an inky celebration of printmaking in the beautiful sunshine city! Organized by PRINT ST. PETE Community Letterpress and Calusa Press Co., St. Printersburg is a one-day event, including a printers fair, swap meet, presentations, and hands-on printing demonstrations of all kinds. Jim Sherraden -retired Hatch Show Print master printer- will be joining as a special guest. The event runs from 11am-4pm. FREE to attend. St. Printersburg takes place in the courtyard behind Tombolo Books, Black Crow Coffee, and Squeeze Juice Works at 2161 1st Avenue South.

Sunday Jams at The Landing at Jannus Live
Get a proper jam in starting at 2pm with NYC House DJ, Joeski. Jask, High Frequency, John Gaudy and Rob Bello will also take the stage. If you need some dancey rooftop vibes, this is your jam. 200 1st Avenue North.

Handmade Pasta Class
Ever thought to yourself: “what is this thing called pasta, how do they make it, and, well, where can I learn to make this?” Well, Chef Dawn DeStefano has the answers on Sunday at 1pm. Guests will make and enjoy several handmade pastas in this 3-hour class. Chef Dawn is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University and the Art Institute with degrees in baking, pastry, and culinary management. Please wear closed-toed shoes and tie back long hair.
