Sketching encourages us to slow down, look carefully, and connect with works of art. Join The James Museum’s monthly sketch group and hone your artistic and observational skills with guidance from artist Douglas Land. Supplies included. Open to all ages and abilities. Included with admission; free for members.

Poetry at the Dali

Poetry at The Dalí is an ongoing series hosted by St. Petersburg Poet Laureate, Helen Wallace. Occurring on the second Thursday of each month through May 2020, each evening will feature Wallace joined by selected poets. Following the presentation, there will be an audience Q&A.

Cost: FREE

Parking is free for members; $10 parking for nonmembers. Free after 5pm on Thursdays.

St. Pete Run Fest

This 3-day run festival is full of running events, a Rollin’ Oats Wellness Market and Cafe, local food, live music, and craft beer from 3 Daughters Brewing. Register for a 5k, 10k, or half marathon. There will even be a race for the kids! Each of the routes highlights St. Pete’s beautiful waterfront, historic neighborhoods, and colorful murals.

St. Pete Saturday Morning Market

This is the largest weekly fresh market in the Southeast U.S. serving around 10,000 customers a week with its 130 vendors offering everything from fresh produce to homemade soaps to ready to eat food from 15 different nationalities. The market, which is free to enter, is at Al Lang Stadium in downtown St. Pete. If you’re looking for an authentic St. Pete experience, hit up this staple of the community.
